Descriptions Vessel WalkthroughOverview: STUDIO C returned to Wanchese in the Fall of 2021 to begin a yearlong transformation that left no detail untouched. Blackwell Boatworks was provided an open checkbook to transform this 53 into one of the nicest large Express models available today. The list of new equipment and systems involved in this refit is extensive, documentation can be provided upon request. Please first refer to this listing. In addition to the many custom features added, this comprehensive refit included but is not limited to the Pipewelders tower and outriggers, all wiring, engine controls, paint, marine electronics, pumps, AC units, plumbing, thru-hulls, hoses and clamps and more. Engines and generator are current with factory recommended services; 1000 Hour service completed by ACE Marine Diesel - July 2023. Stepping aboard, the 120 sq.ft. cockpit is pure tournament functionality. The large, Awl-grip finished transom fish box will make any Charter captain smile. New features include custom mezzanine seating with insulated storage, teak covering boards, Livewell and custom tuna door. The elevated helm deck provides great visibility, plenty of seating, customized tackle center/ wet bar, a settee with cocktail table all within an air-conditioned acrylic 4-sided enclosure. Removable custom mesh sunshades keep this area cool and provide privacy while at the dock making this area a great place to lounge or entertain. Pipewelders tower has comfortable bench seating, complete upper helm with engine controls and 10" Garmin MFD. The cabin features a huge private head and stand-up shower, L-shaped dinette seating to port, a day galley to starboard with a full beam v-berth forward. There is tons of storage everywhere, allowing everything from tackle, rods & reels, spare parts and supplies to be stowed away neatly and securely keeping the interior clean and uncluttered. The engine room is accessed from the cockpit via a hinged section of the mezzanine seating. The engine room layout is very roomy with easy access to forward and outboard of the engines. Everything including batteries is easily accessible making maintenance chores easy. Hull and Deck:
Helm Deck and Electronics: The helm deck area features a teak and holly sole with an elevated helm platform with excellent 360-degree visibility. Immediately upon stepping on to the helm deck you will find a Tackle center with a granite counter, removable filler panels provide access to a stainless-steel sink and spigot. Below the counter are two bi-fold acrylic doors with drawer storage and shelving for (8) tackle organizers. Forward of the tackle center on the port side is a settee with varnished teak table, fore and aft facing seating and beverage refrigerator. There is forward helm bench seating with storage beneath and a smartly designed single, upper tiered seat. There is also a forward bulkhead storage cabinet perfect for keeping easy to reach items such as ships papers and/or safety gear. Helm has two Murray chairs with footrests, electrically actuated electronics cabinet, and overhead teaser reels. This entire space stays nice and cool in the summer heat enclosed in a four-sided acrylic enclosure by P&R Canvas.
